Note that the work experience must be in a skilled occupation that is in demand in Ontario.

Language Requirements

You must demonstrate proficiency in English or French, depending on the language of instruction in your education and work experience. The language requirements are as follows:

  • Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 in all four language skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking)
  • OR IELTS 6.5 in all four language skills
  • OR TEF Canada 575 in all four language skills

If your education or work experience was in English or French, you may be exempt from some language requirements.
