How GMAT Integrated Reasoning Works
The Integrated Reasoning section consists of four question types:
- Multi-Source Reasoning (MSR)
- Table Analysis (TA)
- Graphics Interpretation (GI)
- Two-Part Analysis (TPA)
Each question type tests different skills, and your performance is combined with your Verbal and Quantitative scores to create your overall GMAT score.
Scoring Formula
The Integrated Reasoning score is calculated based on the number of questions you answer correctly. Each correct answer earns you points, and your raw score is converted to a scaled score between 1 and 8.

Let's say you answered 28 questions correctly in the Integrated Reasoning section. According to the scoring table:
- 25-28 questions = Scaled score of 4
Therefore, your Integrated Reasoning score would be 4.
