Formula Used
The success probability for each crafting attempt is calculated using the following formula:
Success Probability = (1 - (Required Skill - Player Skill) / 1000) × 100%
Where:
- Required Skill = The skill level required to craft the item
- Player Skill = Your current crafting skill level
The total success rate over multiple attempts is calculated by:
Total Success Rate = 1 - (1 - Success Probability)^Number of Attempts
Material costs are calculated by multiplying the base cost by the number of attempts.
Worked Example
Let's say you have a crafting skill level of 350 and want to craft an item that requires skill level 400. You plan to make 5 attempts.
- Success Probability = (1 - (400 - 350) / 1000) × 100% = 60%
- Total Success Rate = 1 - (1 - 0.6)^5 ≈ 87.4%
- If each attempt costs 100 Kinah, total cost = 500 Kinah
This means you have an 87.4% chance of crafting at least one successful item with 5 attempts, spending a total of 500 Kinah.
Interpreting Results
The calculator provides three key metrics:
